About the Author
William Barrick is Professor of Old Testament at Master's Seminary, Sun Valley, California. Dr. Barrick has been married to his wife Barbara for 45 years. They have four married children and fourteen grandchildren.

A Readable Commentary

I was leading a Bible study group on the book of Ecclesiastes and finding it difficult having to refer to about five commentaries to try to cull out the important and relevant points for my group. I was already halfway through Ecclesiastes when I bought this book, and wish I had had it from the beginning, because this book is the result of the author's thorough checking of many references along with his own knowledge of the Hebrew language and Old Testament. Now I am finding it much easier to sift through the resources and know what the important points are, because Dr. Barrick has already done that. Besides that, I worked with Dr. Barrick for 12 years on a translation of the Old Testament in the Bengali language, so I know and highly respect the quality of his work.

I haven't finished this book, but am enjoying what I have read. I will continue to read it and could say more when I finish it.
